I'm about to pack up, but will add a bit more about today's meet for anyone that might check back in this afternoon. It was nice to see some homegrown Oregon products make key contributions in a meet that was meaningful and entertaining to the crowd of 5,039 at Hayward Field. I'm talking specifically about guys like Vernell Warren (Grant High), who was second in the high jump (6-10 3/4) and third in the long jump (24-1 3/4) and Travis Thompson of Newport, who followed a PR in the 800 (1:50.09) for third with a key leg on the final relay. And Nyssa's Marshall Ackley, who ran strong in two hurdle events -- scoring in one of them -- and contributing a solid leg to the 4x400 relay.
