Ducks Announce Schedule for April 19 Track Duel With UCLA - GoDucks.comPublished by

The last time the Oregon and UCLA men’s track & field programs squared off in a traditional dual meet was one-year after the Ducks last won the NCAA men’s national outdoor championship. Following a 22-year hiatus, the pair of traditional collegiate track icons will collide head-to-head for the first time since 1985. Oregon’s Associate Athletics Director and Director of Track & Field Vin Lananna released the schedule for the meet, which will get underway at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 19. The compact slate will conclude with the start of the 4x400 relay at 2:50 p.m. The Bruins dominated the proceedings in the early going en route to accumulating a 10-4 series advantage, before Oregon claimed victories in the team-scoring meet with four consecutive triumphs from 1978-1984.
